Long time listener, first time caller.
IMHO, the Johnny Hartman/Coltrane recording is the definitive recording of that song. Dude had a voice of honey. And read David Hajdu’s Billy Strayhorn tome “Lush Life,” if you haven’t already.

Wow – I was looking for clips to send to someone who is an American but who has NEVER EVER heard Lush Life by anyone.
(Okay, so he is shocked that I have never seen It’s a Wonderful Life.)
