Getting cocky again? Pride goeth before a fall. I thought you had learned that one.

You have to love that point in q2 2004 where you leave them eating dust! Also very impressed by the graph against sixapart.com!

    Matt, really…
No need to add graphs like these… you are even more cool when you are humble.
And most people know that WP rocks… and swings!

WP is great but to each their own choices…

Comparing Drupal to WordPress is like comparing apples to apple pie. Both are different pieces of software, that may accomplish the same goal. In my estimation, Drupal is great for someone who wants to set up a site where data is collaboratively built, and where there are many data interdepencies required. WordPress is a nice, relatively easy-to-use CMS and web (blog) publishing system.

In short, I can build a nice site [for someone] using WordPress very quickly, and integrate it with other PHP-based tools with little effort. Drupal hurts my head.

I only checked the graph because I was expecting much higher usage since they (1) have more registered users than us and (2) their “who’s online” box regularly shows over a thousand people on the site and (3) they were complaining of site performance. Thanks to our support from Textdrive (and others) we fortunately don’t have to worry about this sort of thing anymore, but the current hardware that wordpress.org is on is equivilant to their old setup, though certain subdomains are spread out.
