Remember that great Microsoft iPod video? (The old link doesn’t work anymore.) It turns out it was actually created by Microsoft. I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry.

Remember that great Microsoft iPod video? (The old link doesn’t work anymore.) It turns out it was actually created by Microsoft. I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry.
I laughed. I like companies with a sense of self deprecating humor.
I definitely laughed. It’s good to see Microsoft admitting their past mistakes like that — hopefully they’ll learn from it. Of course, this does not mean they should adopt the Apple packaging design at all. The iPod is hardware, whereas Microsoft sells software. Microsoft’s Xbox 360 packaging design is a step in the right direction, even though it’s still littered with a dozen of copyright notices.

I laughed. At least Microsoft has the guts to laugh at their selves publically…
