    @Matt: I’m shocked your mom doesn’t have a blog… hehe… something like mom.wordpress.com

    Now RoutePress… I’d beta test that :)

You Mom doesn’t have a WordPress blog, or ANY kind of Web site? Shame!

  • Sabo | January 10th, 2008 @ 3:00 pm | Reply

Mom doesn´t have a blog, but she “programmed” the boy who created Wordpress, if that counts for something :P

I´ve sent you just one e-mail last year and didn´t recieve a reply … :( yet.

  • Ike | January 10th, 2008 @ 3:30 pm | Reply

    Nah. It would be PhotoMomm.net

(Matt – I’d jump on that url if I were you…)

  • Alt | January 10th, 2008 @ 3:33 pm | Reply

Hehe, I received most of my email from root. I have yet to meet him (or her) in person :-)

  • Gabriel McGovern | January 10th, 2008 @ 3:40 pm | Reply

Wow – if I had only known you were keeping track.

    Cue the mailbombs in: 5 4 3 2 1…

    Did you mean: route press

  • David | January 10th, 2008 @ 4:57 pm | Reply

So this is an invitation to e-mail you lots? Be careful, I love to write… and there is little difference between hitting publish and send. :)

  • Corinne | January 10th, 2008 @ 5:55 pm | Reply

    “Mom,” that’s too cute.

My mum can’t even turn on her computer without my help, so your Mom is extremely impressive.

  • Karlonia | January 11th, 2008 @ 12:25 am | Reply

Wow, that is a lot of emails! I can’t imagine sending out that many emails to a single person AND still finding the time to maintain a website, write content, do the promotion, etc.

Meanwhile, my mom has pretty high computer literacy and also sends her fair share of emails. She still doesn’t have her own website, but I’m having lots of fun showing her my search query stats and giving her free SEO lessons.

  • Charleen | January 11th, 2008 @ 5:28 am | Reply

I can believe that Mom beat me, but I can’t believe that I didn’t crack the top ten! Please tell me that I was at least in the top 25??
To be fair, I should tell you that i haven’t finished making my new year’s resolutions yet…

  • Jenny | January 11th, 2008 @ 9:08 am | Reply

I wish I had gotten that much email.

  • Raj from Bloghash.com | January 11th, 2008 @ 12:10 pm | Reply

Kinda amusing to see that you have time to count who sent how many emails to you and also make a post about it.

  • Bill | January 11th, 2008 @ 5:12 pm | Reply

There are tools that you can use to count… I have one right now that even tells me what time the email was sent so I could tell you that the number one person that I email is Ron Brown and that the majority of those are sent to me between 4am and 6am Pacific time. I know when Ron works!!!

  • Bill | January 11th, 2008 @ 5:13 pm | Reply

Oh… It was 2856 pieces of email by the way…LOL

  • Niyaz PK | January 12th, 2008 @ 2:16 am | Reply

    Hmm…
This year I wont get any spam. Spammers will target Matt…

  • john.jones.name | January 12th, 2008 @ 3:51 pm | Reply

    thats pretty cool

what also would be interesting is the amount of spam you got in comparison
(what general filters do you use is intresting to people like me who deal with email all day)

    have fun

Spam is definitely not included in these numbers. I actually don’t run spam through my stats script because it would be too process intensive, I just dev/null it before it gets processed.

  • MidMido | January 12th, 2008 @ 10:37 pm | Reply

    That’s So Cool

I can’t imagine that number of e-mails to one Person!

  • Matt | January 15th, 2008 @ 4:03 pm | Reply

Haha there’s nothing to be sorry about. :)

  • Fake Mom | January 16th, 2008 @ 1:58 am | Reply

Matt, I just viewed the photos from your Dad’s birthday. The “Houston” caught my eye, as I’m a native Houstonian.

    Your parents are adorable!
