After its 17 billion dollar acquisition of Reuters, Thomson decided to put their day 1 announcement site on WordPress.com VIP. ¶

You know, the first I knew of the acquisition was when I got an email from a mate of mine who works for Thomson. He didn’t say anything – his email domain had changed to “thomsonreuters.com”.

I know! We mentioned it to them several times, I guess they never got around to it or didn’t consider it important.

Am well impressed that such a large company is blogging these days. In the UK all the big brands appear to be more scared of blogging than willing to embrace the potential for growth that this can present. Oh and their templates nice too

That’s weird for them to use a WordPress domain. At our work, we automatically discount people using free email addresses/domains for work as small potatoes.

Digress:
This theme has an India feel to it. The design is what one would find on Indian clothes etc.
This is how an India skirt from Jaipur, Rajasthan looks like –

I must confess, I really like the design/theme they are using.
