Great stuff and particular interest of mine; WordPress can do a lot of really awesome things for education, and I'm interested to see what others have to say about the topic.

Thanks for sharing this. Like Hazman Aziz, my university library uses WordPress quite extensively (http://library.lmunet.edu). I just redesigned the Lincoln Memorial University Library Web sites to run completely on WordPress. We are even able to use subject guides, which dynamically pulls all posts/links related to a certain major and displays them on one page. So far it has proved to be very helpful to our students.

I just gave a presentation to the Appalachian College Association on using WordPress in innovative ways for libraries. Hopefully more will pick up on its usefulness in such areas.

I am definitely subscribing to the mailing list.

Thanks Matt for sharing this out and starting this initiative. I thought of initiating one. My university library using Wordpress heavily (http://www.ntu.edu.sg/library/collections/Pages/blogs.aspx).

To offer a richer and more interactive library experience, we have launched several library blogs. Read our blogs to discover the latest activities and services offered by NTU Libraries.

Our posts also include new book/video listings, book reviews, database updates, local exhibitions and many other topics. As we engage the joy of reading a new book or experience the power of information in library databases, do give us your feedback and share your views online.

Check out these blogs regularly to stay in the loop:

Subject Libraries:

    * Art, Design & Media Library blog
    * Asian Communication Resource Centre blog
    * Chinese Library blog
    * Engineering Library blog
    * Humanities & Social Sciences Library blog
    * Science Library blog

By creating this: this will give a new horizon view for academia to use wordpress. I am just wondering if we can create a directory on this ... Maybe I will start on my website.

Thanks, Matt for sharing.
