Packing for Montreal

As I mentioned the other day, I’m going to Montreal for about a month and a half, maybe two months. I posted to my moblog about packing and Hanni asked what the final manifest would look like. Here is a breakdown of everything I’m taking for the 1.5-2 month trip, which is about 4x what I normally travel with.
I’ve been working my way through a list of restaurants sent to me by a friend who lived inMontreal for years (and still visits almost weekly). So far, here are my faves:
Milos on Parc Ave for excellent Greek food (or Village Greque on Jean Talon for the best Gyros);
Shodan (Metcalfe) for killer Sushi (ask for the special sushi menu);
Schwartz’s for great smoked meat;
Fairmount (on Fairmount) for bagels,
And if you’re feeling especially meaty, check out au Pied du Cochon (poutine au foie gras – the happiest coronary on earth)
And take a trip down to Burlington, VT. We’ll pull some corks in the Queen City!
