Between the Lines

Between the Lines is the ZDNet blog. Looks like WordPress to me. πŸ™‚ (By the way, that page isn’t far from validation. It’s mostly pretty nice markup. Must be a staging area, because the main site has markup straight out of the 90s.)

  1. Congrats, that must feel good, even if they are not really going out of thier way to promote the fact. A couple of more of these little developments and you might achieve bonafide Cult-god status.

    I hope you continue on your road to recovery.

  2. Its is WordPress. πŸ˜€ Just see the URL of their RSS feed. Its http://blogs.zdnet.com/wp-rss2.php Need I say more? πŸ˜‰

    Below is the <head> of their Blog homepage.

    <meta name="generator" content="WordPress 1.2" /> <!-- leave this for stats -->
    <style type="text/css" media="screen">
    @import url(http://zdnet.com.com/css/z/z.css);
    @import url(http://zdnet.com.com/css/z/b.css);
    </style>

    It seems that though they’ve removed the name “WordPress” from visual interface, they just forgot to remove it from the code or thought better of it. But what I don’t like about them is why have they scrapped off the WordPress link from the interface. They’ve got a great software for free & the least they can do is acknowledge it.
