I have an older MD player myself (no NetMD, so realtime recording and crappy manual song title entry) but am not overly enthused about this technology from a music standpoint… for recording new hybrid digital recorders offer higher sample rates, up to 24/96. An iPOD or other hard drive based mp3/aac solution still seems better for listening. I suppose if there is a way to back up standard data files on it they’d make a great alternative to current jumpdrives… an hour and a half of pcm still means a disc swap for recording a boot but is much better than having masters in lossy atrac. It is definately a step forward for MDs though!
Sounds like a perfect way to carry and save your email 😀
MD is nice, this is somewhat nicer.
