Make sure you do not have syncing turned on in iTunes.
Syncing was turned on in iTunes. I lost about 20 gigs.
To clarify, “lost” in the sense that I have to re-copy everything.
Seems a lot of people have been doing this lately. Apple might need to make the definition of “sync” a bit more clear. As it is now many believe it simply updates your ipod instead of making it look identical to that of your itunes library.
I’d like to see them either a) change the default behavior or b) display a warning telling you what’s about to happen and give you a chance to stop it.
That sucks. Ryan Sims did the same thing not long ago.
