This would rock my socks, if it weren’t for the fact that clicking on the sidebar when it is loaded opens the wp-tags in the main part of the window.. not the sidebar.
Until that is fixed there’s not much point in it, may as well just bookmark the page…
About the screenshot, well I’m not even the least bit good with graphics, I chucked the screenshot into Paint and then uploaded it. I’m on vacation atm so I wasn’t able to use anything else you’ll have to wait if the screenshot is holding you back 🙂
Hmm I don’t understand the problem you are experiencing DarkCryst. When you click a link onthe sidebar it should open the wiki pages in the main (right hand) part of the window. If it doesn’t do that then there is something wrong.
Hmm links loading in the sidebar. I could consider it, I don’t know. If they load in the sidebar it makes reading the docs a real pain as a lot of horizontal scroll is present. I may take a poll on it once I’ve pushed through the newer versions found http://www.movalog.com/archives/plugins/mt-tabs/tabs-beta.php
Well DarkCryst your wish is my command. If you try out the beta version of WP Tabs then you will have the option of opening the links in the sidebar. Check the box they open in the sidebar, leave the box unchecked the open in the main part !
Thanks for the email alerting me too, very kind of you.
The reason I thought it would be better loading within itself is that then it acts as a perfect companion – a reference for when looking at other pages, or testing code.
Love the new style too, nice and elegant – without losing the simplicity.
However.. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the javascript that runs when you click the links doesn’t work in my copy of firefox (v0.8). Works fine in IE tho, but I tend to use Firefox most.
Yeah I understand why you’d want it to load in the sidebar.
I’ve noticed a problem in Firefox, you check the box and then the link loads but there’s no way to go back, even if you right click and click back. I’m not sure how I can combat this. What do you mean that the javascript doesn’t work ? I’m on FF 0.9.3 and once I check the box, future links all load into the sidebar….
I’ll clarify. In my version of Firefox (0.8) the category links don’t work (no loading at all), and the checkbox doesn’t change the behavior of the links at all (they still open in the main window).
I haven’t had that problem with the breaking of the back button, simply because it doesn’t work how it works for you. Odd, but there you go.
Perhaps I should upgrade Firefox, but I’m wary as I had to downgrade last time due to stability issues. Also its just good bug tracking 😉
The picture is awful (unnecessary pixel waste). Why did the author use JPEG instead of PNG? Anyway – nice work.
