Sometimes I feel like I’m walking in Mark’s shoes… I wonder… What happend to him?
I wondered about this. He’d been in my blogroll forever, and just kept drifting lower and lower on the list — down there with the sites that don’t ping. At any rate, it’s our loss.
I think you’re right Matt, but his words are somewhat cryptic – perphaps leaving the door open?
Mark has a tendency to be cryptic… which is a good thing. Keeps you on your toes. 🙂
I hope you are wrong Matthew. Mark Pilgrim is one person who I look up to an awefull lot. I have a great deal of respect for the guy and he will be sorely missed if he stops blogging.
I can understand his need to take a break from the world of computers. I get that way too every so often (as I’m sure most techies do), so I hope he finds something more worthwhile to take up some of his time. I always like what he writes though, because it’s never sugar-coated and it’s always informative.
FWIW, the feed for the comments to his site is 410 Gone.
His site is now no longer syndicated at all.
If that meens he has stopped blogging, I for one will sorely miss him.
Benjamin Reitzammer of Things to Write Home About has found some clues in recent posts to what may be on Mark’s mind in making this departure. Having a kid definitely changes ones priorities, and I could easily see that being a factor.
