The Weblogs.com/changes.xml, used by hundreds of update services and tens of thousands of bloggers, is now password-protected. Not sure what this means. Update: False alarm! It seems to be back to normal now.

Now it simply 404s.
It’s back up now. It 404’d originally. The second request gave me success.
I’ve seen weblogs.com giving me 500’s often enough (I run the wp-update from a cron job)… sometimes it complains about half-downloaded files as well. I suppose weblogs.com is slightly overstressed and in dire need of some mirrors =]
