We will continue to evaluate what provides the BEST experience for the vast majority of our users and make an informed decision. I am not so sure if replacing
tags will factor into that decision. Spaces might load faster with more pared down HTML, but if we can achieve BETTER performance doing something else, and not break compatibility with our browser matrix, I would guarantee that would take priority.
