Sorry, I would have bought that to your attention when I noticed it the other day (the 5th or 6th I beleive).
Mathais: He does state in his “Surgical CMS Removal” post that “Many links do not work. You request your readers’ patience while you restructure things over the next few days.”
It’s analagous to the growth of FireFox isn’t it, people see and hear about WP and then finally take the plunge and wonder why they waited.
I don’t think Matt meant “new” as in “Having been made or come into being only a short time ago; recent.” I think he meant “new” as in “Different from the former or the old” or “Changed for the better; rejuvenated,” to quote dictionary.com.
I just tend to think of a weblog (e.g. Dan Benjamin’s Hivelogic) as the text, images, etc… the part people see. If he replaces the CMS but doesn’t change the output, is it really new? When newspapers transitioned from paste-up to all-digital production, were they new?
Yes, Hivelogic is currently powered by WordPress. The three things I like most about WP include: 1) It’s well written (in PHP) and easy to read, so I can modify as needed. 2) It works with MarsEdit. 3) It’s not Movable Type.
But don’t get *too* excited. I’ve used pretty much every blog system out there, including about 4 of my own, and it’s likely to change once I get some time 🙂
Yes, I believe that is too cool. Congats on another victory.
That indeed is cool. Look, now the sidebar links to his articles don’t work anymore!

But can you be sure? The colophon is 404’d! Heh.
Um, new? A new CMS does not mean a new blog.
“New” = “Re-newed”.

Sorry, didn’t mean to start a fight or anything.

WordPress is difficult to resist!
Very nice looking site too.

But until then, I’m enjoying WordPress!
