I’ve never found that compelling enough to tell the world about it, but I know exactly what you mean. It’s such a fun little combination of letters! 🙂
My phone doesn’t use the T9-esque tech so I find I abbreviate words till they’re nearly unreadable. I.E. Mrk gng 2 mll 2 gt clths
Mainly it involves taking out the vowels, and substituting numbers for words… pretty much “1337 5P34K” for phones heh. it’s easier and ppl seem to understand it easier as i develop a “txt msg relationship” with them.
There are others like this that I always find fun to type, but I can’t think of them off the top of my head.
Try this: type good and then scroll through the next two. “Good. Home. Gone.” So sad…
Also there is a certain curse word that is spelled the same with T9 as “ducking”. What I can’t figure out is why the Finns hate the word so much (despite being famous for using it in person) that they put it after “ducking” AND “dublini”. Huh?
Matt, no joke, I just told someone the same thing earlier today. Haha.

Actually, I’ve been noticing the same thing over the last few weeks… back forth, back forth.. I dont know why its so amusing.

Ok, we’re all insane. I was just thinking this exact same thing yesterday.
Gotta love how the human brain identifies patterns for absolutely no reason. It’s great!
4-6-4-6-4, 4-6-4-6-4, gone!

‘going’ is a fantastic word to type on a phone. Particularly as you have to go through ‘imho’ first. Gets me every time.
High and feed are also fun words to type. Where fun == moderately pleasing.
I gave up on T9, and bought a Nokia 6800. Mmmm, Qwerty goodness!
i love it. 4-6-4-6-4!
Ever noticed how ‘pint’ and ‘shot’ are the same combination of keys?
Or what about ‘fat’ and ‘eat’?
I just tried this on a Siemens CF62T, and I agree. I can barely type other words, though.
