This has been available for months and it is my favourite. Flaws I have come across: Pasting text does not invoke spellchecking immediately Changing a mis-typed word might not instantly rid you from the red underline Reply
This was recently included in the main thunderbird distribution. It might be available in 1.1, if not – then 1.5. http://www.mozillazine.org/talkback.html?article=5922 Reply
That was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! Now all I need is an extension that does rewrap before posting as Thunderbird’s wrap funtion is broken. Reply
Love it on PC, unfortunately it crashes the latest Mac nightly. Then I realized that the latest Mac nightly already has built-in check as you type functionality. 🙂 Reply
Or you could just get a Mac and you would have automatically have spellchecking OS wide. Yes, even in forms like the one I’m typing in right now. Reply
