I think that’s a bit harsh. You might as well say that Knuth exploited the reputation of Sun Tzu’s The Art of War (be that a literal translation of the original Chinese or not). Just do a search on Amazon with the words “The Art Of”, and see for yourself how common book titles beginning with those words are.
Roy: I don’t think it’s fair to call that book’s title a rip-off of Knuth, considering Knuth himself was preceeded by Sun Tszu’s The Art of War by about 2,500 years.
