Somehow, I think Google’s going to make a move in this arena in the coming days. They have Picasa for photo management software, Hello for photo sharing, and Blogger for photoblogging. I have a feeling they’ll release an online photo sharing service with Google search built in, and the service will be posted to most easily from Picasa/Hello.
That would be great if Google came out with something like Flickr…nothing beats Picasa as photo management software. I just wish it were a lot easier to share photos with it.
I like Picasa too. My only problem with it is that it doesn’t give me the option to ‘commit’ my changes to the files. Sometimes I just want to save the file with all Picasa’s optimization applied, that would mean I have to export and I can’t just save it.
