If you’re a Facebook user and a reader of this blog you can now add me to your Facebook. The “pages” feature of Facebook is neat because before I was conflicted because I wanted to add everyone I met at various conferences or WordPress users as a “friend” but then news feeds and such basically become unusable. I’m going to try to use it like a mailing list sending out some travel and life updates, like if I’m going to be in a particular country. Sign up here.

Matt Kelly (and many others) have put together an official Facebook Integration for WordPress plugin, which is available in the directory as of today. Glad to see the company becoming involved directly in the WordPress community, and excited to see what's next in that regard.

Why is MailPress just a funny? Why not make a mailing list manager for people who comment on your blog? Well, besides the security issues it might bring up. And all the spammers that might use it.
No, seriously, I think it’s a great idea. And I’d bet the folks over at ProBlogger would, too. Just the other day they ran an article/post about how an e-mail newsletter could enhance one’s blog.
