As Liz Gannes wrote in AllThingsD, Automattic has acquired Simplenote, the coolest notes service around which you can get on the iTunes app store or for a variety of other platforms, and Simperium, which if you’re a developer you should watch the video on their homepage and see how the technology can make what you’re doing even cooler. I’ve been a daily user and fan of the service for a while now, and I’m looking forward to how we can use Simperium across WP.com.
Wow, I’ve been using Simplenote every day for around three and a half years, currently via the nvAlt app. It is an absolutely key part of my workflow.
This is great news because it has been in the back of my mind lately that I should, perhaps, move to a Dropbox-based app, for fear that a company as small as Simperium might disappear overnight.
Looking forward to seeing where you guys, working together, will take Simplenote.
