I love this, and it makes me give some consideration to purchasing an iPhone (something I’ve avoided), but I don’t think it’s a shot across the bow at Google…it’s just a shot.
A shot across the bow is designed to get someone to take notice and do something. Google is not going to do anything in response to this, they can’t. Their whole business model is entrenched in the “profiling” aspect of it, and their cooperation with governments, that they couldn’t stop now even if they wanted to.
