I always like reading Paul Ford’s writing, and this one about How PAPER Magazine’s web engineers scaled Kim Kardashian’s back-end (SFW) is funny and accessible. I learned that people still use Movable Type. Also if PAPER used VIP, the story would be short and boring:
- Wake up, press the publish button.
- Watch the stats go crazy. Sip some bourbon.
- Go to sleep.
Really Matt, you wasted time commenting on the one win Movable Type had in the past 5 years? Wow, you hold long grudges and are a bitter person. You won, take the higher ground and move on. Plus it was not MT that really held the fort down, it was a product called topics. They don’t mention that, but details are important.
I just found it surprising, and thought my readers would as well. It generated some good conversation on Twitter as well.
