I actually heard this on the Farnam Street podcast with Patriots coach Michael Lombardi, but it seems like General Shinseki said it first so attributing it there.
The general was right. If you’re not willing to change, and take risks, to achieve something remarkable, you can bet your house cat someone else will.
I like this quote a lot. As I get into the blogging game, quotes like this are like embers for a fire.
This reminds me of the two things. The book “Who moved my cheese” ( I haven’t read it though ); and the quote “change is the only constant”, don’t know who said it.
