Om Malik on Scamming

Om Malik on Broadband: Phone companies scamming millions from consumers. I have T-Mobile and paid $24 this month on top of a service plan that’s $50. To their credit only two of the charges look very shady and I still think that’s a bargain considering I used over 2000 minutes. (Even though Om’s blog has a trackback link, I can’t see how to send him a trackback. Is it a secret?)

  1. I thought it was my Firefox, so I opened it in IE. Still nothing. Maybe they aren’t enabled?

Good to see you back and posting. :)

  2. As an employee of TMO, I find that CNN article quite intriguing. To my knowledge, the only surcharge that the company charges is 0.86 per line as a regulatory programs fee (all of the companies charge this, and ours is the lowest.)

I’m curious. What two charges seem somewhat shady?
