For the Baptists in the crowd, I like to point out that Confirmation in the Catholic church is very similar to Baptism in a Baptist church – you do it when you’re old enough to speak for yourself, for the most part. Same concept, different name.
It’s been 20 years now since I was Confirmed – 1983…

Averrhyz, confirmation is basically the last initiate rite of the Roman Catholic church.
