I remember being called by a globe.com sales person trying to get us to by advertising on what he called “the best site on the internet”. He talked about how many employees they had, and that they had just IPO’d (the largest internet IPO at that time), and that advertising with The Globe was the “only way for my business to succeed on the internet. Without The Globe, no one would ever find us”.
Funny how they tanked and we’re still around (better than ever actually).

I don’t think the Globe even had 1/3 of the community MySpace currently has.
It seems like anybody bwtween 13-25 has a MySpace account.
