I recall in the latter part of 2003 and early 2004 when community was a big focus. We all worked very hard to build something that was friendly and welcoming. When MT went over to their new fee structure, a lot of us worked countless hours helping folks adapt their current blogs to WP or with installing from scratch.
I’m proud to have been part of the early WP community. I’ve made a lot of friends and have learned a lot.
Thank you to all the guys and gals out there who have done so much and continue to work at building a better WordPress.
I agree with Craig, even after the turn over to WP the community still helps people out with the very basic of questions without getting annoyed. WP has a strong community with its commitment to excellence WP will see growth way past the era of blogging. Good job Matt & crew!
