I’m not a fan of patent or copyright. They are both obstacles to innovation today. In the short term, I wonder if people shouldn’t be attacking the patent office for awarding certain things as patents though. How do we ask whatever office it is to start hiring people that understand enough to know that rotation of an image on a device shouldn’t be allowed to patent because it is such a fundamental part of an experience.
