  1. I know I’m biased and definitely not viewing this from an outside perspective but I still don’t understand why this is a major consideration? Why build and support a custom CMS when there already great turn-key solutions. In my opinion that’s akin to car manufacturers purchasing and managing their own steel mills.

  2. I agree, there are so many turnkey CMS and for the most part they are open source. Why not just use an exsisting system? If you really want more functionality, I’ve good luck with itegrating SuiteCRM (SugarCRM open source version) and using WordPress as the portal entry.
