Andrew Bosworth, one of the early engineers and leaders at Facebook tells the story about how he almost got fired in the early days despite being a top engineer. “If I was a good engineer, why would it be hard to work with me? Of course that question was the very foundation of my problem.”
Couldn’t agree more, that post is very constructive and shows how Andrew grew and become better in his personal work.
One of the best posts I’ve read this year.
It’s not easy to understand the issues when you’re the problem. You have to dig deeper into the actions that you do and revise them through the inputs that the people around you are giving, but if you do, it’s worth the try.
Being nice is hard for some. Knowing you did the right thing gets you the brownie points from the man above and he is the one all should answer to in some way shape or form!
