It’s very cool to see Theo / t3.gg‘s open source arc.
Just in general, with people creating more software than ever, it’s so exciting to see an explosion of open source and a growing understanding of why working together on open source makes so much sense for the future we want to build.
Theo-pensource … I see what you did there!
I’m organizing WordCamp Shenzhen China 2026, reviving the official WordPress community conference in mainland China after many years.
As you know, the very first overseas WordCamp was held in Beijing back in 2007, the origin of WordPress community in Asia.
We hope to carry on the history, rebuild the Chinese WordPress community, and prepare for hosting WordCamp Asia in Shenzhen in the near future.
Would be grateful for your blessing and guidance for our event and future bid.
We understand you usually don’t attend regular regional WordCamps. But China has a unique historical precedent with your past visits. This is far more than an ordinary local event—it’s a heritage revival.
We sincerely invite you to give a short virtual greeting or opening message for WordCamp Shenzhen 2026.
(Sorry matt, I am just trying every method to reach you)
I’d love to attend or send a video!
