Matt, how did you alter the layout of the galleries on your frontpage? Is it another ‘asides’ hack?
Yep, I do it just like asides.

Absolutelly beautifull!
Are you going to show us, how to alter our themes to make them work like yours with the gallery? =D
Excelent job Matt, thanks!
Matt, how did you make the front page of this gallery, that shows all available list of galleries and clicking upon one is bringing us to this individual gallery pages.
Matt, Thank you for all the hard work you and the group put into WP so that we can get our voices heard, because we all have something so important to say 🙂
I too am a fan of the way your gallery is displayed- 1 image on the frontpage (that lists how many photo’s in the set) and then a page with all the images on it. Is this something that is included in the default 2.5 gallery function or is that a plugin? I would really like to get this like this on my blog. Also, I thought I read somewhere that 2.5 supports displaying EXIF data but I don’t see how to get that to display yet?
Thank you

I, too, am a fan of how your galleries are displayed. For my site, the simple gallery feature that WP2.5 provides is perfect, assuming I can get it customized to my liking.
I was thinking there were some template tags added for Gallery, but if there are, the Codex hasn’t been updated yet, and looking at the code, it doesn’t appear that there are tags.
Matt, care to give a rundown on how you are putting these together?
The best thing to look at is the changes to the default template – it has it all.
Matt, i’m taking a look to that template, but it does not have the code for this information:
“Full resolution version (4256×2832 pixels, about 614 kB, suitable for wallpapers)”
It also don’t show the number of comments that eatch photo has, like happens in this post.
I also want to know how to make the galleries looks like yours on the homepage of the blog.
[…] Step one solved, now on to the next, producing a gallery. I looked for examples to see what this new tool was capable of. Would it fit the bill for my site? A quick tour of the […]
