  1. Ah, if only WP.com hosted our self-installed WP blogs as well. I wouldn’t be stuck at Hosting Matters or DreamHost.

We need a host that is exclusively designed for WordPress.

  2. DJ Allyn, what are you talking about? There are many hosters that work fine with WordPress.

“Work” or “work well”? I have been hosted or am currently hosted by several of them. Do you have a good one that is not slow and sluggish or doesn’t have a non-existent support staff? One that doesn’t try to stuff as many accounts on a server as humanly possible?

I am on DreamHost right now, and it has been VERY slow. They have had the same trouble with the cluster I am on since May, and we are told to “be patient” with them.

You would think they would move us to a different cluster or fix the one they have, but you would be wrong.

  3. Well, I on LiquidWeb since 2002 and they are very good. Can’t say I had no problems at all – but they always fixed everything promptly.

WordPress 2.5.x (and Drupal 6) works flawlessly.
