As part of the SOPA Strike, here’s the homepage of WordPress.com today. We got started a little bit early, but figured it wouldn’t hurt to go more than 24 hours.
On WP.com we’ve activated an option for any of the bloggers there to put a ribbon on their site or black it out entirely, and we’ll be participating on WordPress.org as well.
there’s some plugins for anyone wanting to blackout their wordpress.org site, this one is the one I’m using: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sopa-strike/installation/
You gonna put up a ribbon on this blog?
I was pleased to receive your email telling us of your making this blackout available for our sites but when I went to the admin. page, settings, the protest SOPA/PIPA link is not there. I would like to have joined in this protest.
That is really cool made. And a big thank you for giving us the opportunity so easily to add a protest on our own sites. It’s now activated.
Thanks for giving the .com folks an option to participate! Very important stuff! I’m just setting up my .org sites now. All of The Voodoo Empire sites are participating, just about to throw the switch on VoodooPress now!
Great work to all concerned.
SOPA Sucks
Certainly an effective campaign in terms of getting noticed. Let’s see if the politicians are listening.
Hope it makes a difference.
