  1. I’m still curious how you handle IP ownership along with any “employee will not engage in outside employment” situations with this type of moonlighting trial. I’m concerned about liability that could arise of those situations.

  2. In general I agree, but some companies camouflage this as fishing for free consulting, testing and/or feedback so you need to keep your eyes & ears open for telltale signs. It also helps to speak with people who have gone through the process at a given company in the past.
