On ThePrimeagen

I dropped on the livestream for ThePrimeagen earlier today after a colleague pinged me that he was talking about the Silver Lake / WP Engine situation.

Afterward, I also privately shared with him the cell phone for Heather Brunner, the WP Engine CEO, so she can hop on or debate these points. As far as I’ve heard she hasn’t responded. Why is WP Engine scared of talking to journalists live?

  1. You did well on the stream, Matt. You’ve got more bottle than the entire WPE team. The silence from WPE speaks volumes. I highly doubt she’ll ever show her face.

    1. He gave the contact to the CEO of a company, how does gender matter there? Would you think she doesn’t want the same opportunities as a CEO as any man?

    2. @Gary curious to check at exactly which minute/second in the video did that happen? I don’t recall seeing that happen during the interview.

  2. Why are you getting the blame? It’s not yours (or the WordPress Foundation’s) obligation to cater to WP Engine’s customers. It’s WP Engine’s responsibility.

  3. Hi Matt. Just wanna say: Please keep going. Thx for your hard work that enables Millions of people publishing there Ideas & Dreams in an open environment (and thousands of people making a living – like myself) I wish you all the best, enough sleep, good food and even better Friends. Cheers!
