Apparently to prove they’re paying attention subway conductors in New York have to point at a sign at every stop. Someone decided to make them smile. As I go back to New York today, it’s cool to learn something new about the city as well.
I’ve been really enjoying the new features in Akismet:
The talk Toni and I did with Alexia Tsotsis at LeWeb this year is now online, at the end we talk a bit about what’s next for Automattic in the WP world: Also chatted with Hermione Way of The Next Web about the biggest tech story of the year.
The other day I was interviewed by Jeffrey Zeldman and Dan Benjamin for the Big Web Show, which you can now view here. Also good to watch if you’d like an update on my beard adventure. 🙂
A few months ago I was recently interviewed on KTEH’s program “This is Us!” and the result ended being a nice 5 minute overview of WordPress, something you could show to your Mom to explain the whole thing. Here’s the video (using Youtube’s new beta iframe player):
Here’s the official video of the “State of the Word” presentation I did at WordCamp San Francisco this year. I hope you all enjoy it! (Video from WordPress.tv and powered by VideoPress.)

If you ever wanted to see me talking about cooking, specifically tsatziki, or in an apron. (Which is probably the most complex thing I could make.) Luckily I had some professional help. Thanks to KTEH for the opportunity.

The Single Malt Scotch Episode – Episode #509. I was on Wine Library TV with the inimitable Gary Vaynerchuk talking not about wine, but scotch. Much trouble ensues. Check it out! I ended up leaving my laptop at Gary’s store and had to go back to Jersey later that day. I took a few moments […]
The internet has everything.
I better start using a headset. Hat tip: NewTeeVee Station and Phil Black.

CNET has a video on “Install a WordPress blog”, this came up at WordCamp and I think more of these would be a great idea. Here are some intro videos from EduBlogs.
