sure it doesn’t allow you to flash the flashlight but it still does some interesting things.
Play Sound: Makes your phone ring loudly, even on silent.
Directions: Opens its location in Maps.
Mark As Lost / Lost Mode: Locks the device and displays a message with your contact info.
Erase This Device: Remotely wipes your data (use as a last resort).
I’d bet you’re aware of this, but if you hold down the “find my” button on an Apple Watch, your phone will flash the flashlight. However, my hunch is you know that trick, and you’re specifically asking for this capability in the app which would be nice as well. Anyway, Happy New Year!
I’ve mentioned this on Bluesky too, but if you have an Apple Watch then, if you open up the control centre with the side button, there’s an option to ping your iPhone. If you click it, it makes your phone make a sound. However, hold the icon down and it makes a sound AND flashes the rear light on the phone too.
Not exactly what you wanted, but still a great way to find your phone in your bag, never-the-less.
