If you’re going to give me AI slop, at least make it fun! Give me iambic pentameter. Make it all rhyme. Have it be a song. I think we’re under-utilizing the artistic and creative capabilities of models by making them produce work that sort-of-but-not-really looks like human effort.
All I have is this haiku about open source from one year ago, no AI:
Wide the horizon,
A mind with purpose creates,
Tomorrow built by many.
That’s beautiful.

If you want fun with AI try to get illustrations of classic novels like “Peter Pan” – often the AI will refuse to make the illustrations for “copyright reasons” even though you tell it that the author has been dead for 70+ years … If the text of choice is erotic in nature you’ll get a watered down illustration that will not raise a brow in the bible belt. AI is a coy chaperone.
If I invest effort to make it fun, is it still slop?
