Why don’t you categorize them into “Tech-related”, “Travel”, etc.?
Just a thought on this – Why not pop in a separate submit/ contact form, and put it to filter to a specific address, or depending on your popmail client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc….) you can also filter by title to a folder. Or a submit that sends to a database in case you might not get the submissions via email (hey…sometimes emails do get eaten… kind of like the sock dilemma when washing laundry. o.0)

Great video Matt – so lovely to hear you talk when I’ve been using your software for a while now. I am also an Apple iPhone and Kindle convert. The Kindle is now available internationally, but we don’t get all the books you get in the US. Hopefully the publishing world will continue to catch up in 2010!

So the bluetooth and windows are truly not compatible in a way! It’s a joke in my house that the bluetooth mouse we have doesn’t work because I touched it! I’m so happy to hear that others have that problem too!
Nope it works great with my Windows 7 laptop.
Nice Matt, I’m holding out for the Apple tablet that will be an ebook reader or I would get a kindle too. I know what you mean on the bluetooth mouse. I purchased a Targus mouse the other day but I really want a magic mouse. You’re still traveling with your windows laptop? Nice Apple plug in the video though. 🙂 See you at SXSW 2010?

I didn’t shoot it Michael Pick did I believe using the Canan DSLR.
Matt’s spot on – I shot the interview with a couple of Canon 5D2’s (although both were sporting Nikon glass)

I have a quick technical question about the editing of this video.
How do you make the zoom-out transition effect near the 39th second of the footage. Have you filmed yourself, Matt, with 2 cameras, or has this transition been done in your editing software?

Hey Patrick. You were right about the 2 cameras. I had an 85mm lens for the close ups on one, and a 17-35mm at about 20-25mm on the other. The cameras were Canon 5D Mark IIs, the lenses Nikons. In principle you could get a similar effect with one camera if you were to output your video at 720p (like this one) but shoot at 1080p (same), as this would give you a bit of latitude for reframing the footage without pixelation.
I too love my mouse. It’s tiny because it folds in half which makes it easy to travel with. Totally essential.
