Here’s the official video of the “State of the Word” presentation I did at WordCamp San Francisco this year. I hope you all enjoy it!

  1. Thanks Matt, as a long-term web designer for vBulletin and Drupal I only recently (starting at 2.7) included WordPress to list of skills 🙂 I really enjoyed watching this video, and its philosophy.
Hopefully I’ll be watching this live someday at one of the dot NL camps.

    1. That would be awesome. A download of the video would be awesome, too. I don’t really want to take the time to watch it online because my time online is limited, but I really do want to watch it.

  2. If it’s not in the works something I’d like to see for plugin users: something like the iphone’s genius app for recommending plugins that may be of interest, based on what you’re already using.

  3. From having your code in front of dozens of people to millions of users the world over, it is amazing to see and be a part (as a user) of the growth of WordPress. I just want to thank you for such an amazing platform. I look forward to the future!

  4. Wanted to watch/listen to this on my iPod Touch. … then I realized that won’t work. Would Love to see VideoPress compatible with iPhone/Touch/iPad. Coming anytime soon?!

      1. Faster please!

  5. Very insightful and honest video, about the past present and future of WordPress and blogs in general.

A lot of passion for blogging and Jazz … i wonder if you share the same passion to classical music?

    Thank you for sharing!!
