In case you missed it, here’s the first-ever State of the Word… designed completely in Gutenberg:
WordCamp US was a fantastic experience, as always. Thank you again to the hundreds of organizers and volunteers who made it happen, to the thousands who attended, and to the city of St. Louis for hosting us. We’ll be back there again next year.
And special thanks to this next generation of WordPress contributors. So exciting to see KidsCamps continue to expand and thrive:
As you can see, my site is now featuring the new WordPress Twenty Twenty theme. And for more coverage from my State of the Word, check out the recaps from WP Tavern and Post Status. Here’s my full audience Q&A below:
You can see my previous State of the Word keynotes here.
The Twenty Twenty theme looks great!
Can’t wait to try the theme on WordPress.com.
Oh man, I totally wanted to meet you Matt but so many people there wanted to meet me and I wanted to prioritize them. It’s nice problem to have :-).
I was there this year and was sitting there at the State Of The Word! I love how you are willing to take any and all questions.
WordCamp US was a great experience, the only negative is loosing your voice for a few days after the event from all the talking.
Thanks for coming on my YouTube channel last year, we have to do that again here soon.
If you’re curious about the plugin that Matt used to create his presentation it’s available at https://wordpress.org/plugins/slide/#description
I can’t wait to use this for my next talk.
YES!!! I have been SEARCHING for this plugin. Now my WordCamp Riverside Slides just might actually be in Gutenberg.
Loved your speech and love the way you are taking WordPress to the next level. I also did a recap of WordCamp US which is available at https://wphive.com/reviews/recap-state-of-the-word-2019-wcus/
I also love Twenty Twenty as a theme. <3
Great updates and I love Twenty Twenty! Gutenberg is a game-changer. It has allowed me to be a lot more creative and I think will help people joining the WP family.
Also, WordPress happens to be about a year older than me lol
