Two reminders for upcoming appearances: This Saturday I’ll be presenting a 24-hour art collaboration with Evan Roth at Seven on Seven at the New Museum. On Monday I’ll be in Durham, North Carolina to speak at Duke University. If you’re interested in the latter, leave a comment and I’ll make sure you get the details. We don’t have a ton of room but I’d like ma.tt readers to be able to attend. After that I’ll be in Houston briefly if anyone wants to do a meetup.

Seven on Seven – Rhizome
In April I’m going to be participating in an event called Seven on Seven put on by Rhizome. “Seven on Seven will pair seven leading artists with seven game-changing technologists in teams of two, and challenge them to develop something new — be it an application, social media, artwork, product, or whatever they imagine — over the course of a single day. The seven teams will unveil their ideas at a one-day event at the New Museum on April 17th.”
November NYC Events
I’ll be chatting with Liz Danzico at the School of Visual Arts in New York, New York when I’m there in November. I’ll be speaking in NYC three times that week: WordCamp New York, SVA, and at Web 2.0 Expo. Would love to see my Yankee peeps while out there. 🙂
TEDMED
I’m going to be attending TEDMED this year. I think we’re at a crucial juncture for health, where in my lifetime we’ll look back at our treatments today with the same wonder as we have when contemplating medicine before the understanding of germs. I have a feeling TEDMED will be the best spot to get a glimpse of this future.
Houston & Dubai
I’m going to be in Houston for Christmas and while there attending the December Refresh Houston Meetup. If you’re in Houston, come by and say hi. After that I’m going to Dubai for a little bit of vacation, but if there are any WordPress users there I’d love to meet up one night. I’ll be there the Dec 28–Jan 4.
PodCamp/WordCamp Hawaii
I’ll be in Honolulu this Saturday for PodCamp / WordCamp Hawaii 2008.
Startonomics This Thursday
The Startonomics conference is happening this Thursday in San Francisco and looks pretty interesting, I’m going to try to go by.
WordCamp Weekend
There’s not one but three four WordCamps this weekend. I just got back from China, where both the Beijing and Shanghai events were great. (More pictures coming soon.) This Saturday you can check out WordPress events in Portland, Salt Lake City (I’ll be attending this one, they asked me first), Vancouver, and Birmingham.
Yahoo Hack Day
Yahoo’s Hack Day is coming up this Friday and Saturday. I’m going to be a judge at the event. The other judges are David Filo, Ash Patel, Cheryl Ainoa, Jeff Clavier, Rashmi Sinha, and Om Malik. Fun group!

Speaking at Start Conference
Jeffrey Veen and Bryan Mason are putting together a very interesting conference called Start. It’s only $200 and the morning format is short-form interviews with interesting people, and somehow I slipped in there. Mark the date — August 7, 2008.
Greek Blogger Camp
Day 2 in Greece, on Ios island at the Greek Blogger Conference 2008.

WordCamp Milan
I’m leaving tomorrow for Milan where I’ll be attending WordCamp Italy. Hope to see some of you there!
Expo Keynote
Here’s a video of my “high order bit” keynote talk at Web 2.0 Expo. It’s succinct — 10 minutes — and covers WordPress.com and Automattic growth, the possibly related posts launch, and Monotone.
At Web 2.0 Expo
For those of you in San Francisco for the Web 2.0 Expo, I’m going to be speaking Friday in the main ballroom at 10:15 AM. Earlier that morning are Jonathan Schwartz, Dan Lyons, and Matt Cutts, all tough acts to follow. I’ll be doing a “High Order Bit” which means “short” and will be launching something.
WP Meetup in Philadelphia
I’m being honored by the Temple Fox School IT Awards so I’ll be in Philadelphia next week. I extended my trip so we can do a WordPress meetup on Thursday night, April 10. The current plan, thanks to Alex Hillman, is meeting at National Mechanics at 6PM.
Upcoming Speaking
Coming soon to a town near you. I’ll be doing a keynote at Northern Voice in Vancouver, speaking at Future of Web Apps in Miami, and on two panels at SxSW Interactive in Austin, and kicking off WordCamp in Dallas.
SVASE Panel
Tonight I’ll be on a SVASE panel with Mike Cassidy, Naval Ravikant, and Peter Yared down in Palo Alto speaking on “How To Build A High Growth Startup Fast And Cheap.” Get all the details here. Zoli Erdos has some more information.
