WordCamp Signup Open
WordCamp San Francisco 2008 Signup. Signup is now open for WordCamp SF, and it’s $5 cheaper than last year even though we’re at a bigger venue (with more comfortable seats, based on your feedback) and should be packing more awesomeness. Who’s going to be speaking on what? Well that’s still a surprise. 🙂

I’m still recovering from the conference this weekend. It was really amazing in both the people who attended and the quality of the presentations. Anyone have a good roundup post or liveblog any sessions? Leave it in the comments. The session pages are picking up pingbacks but seem to be missing some good stuff.

WordCamp Events Friday
There are two events happening before WordCamp officially kicks off on Saturday. Tomorrow at 1 PM there is a meetup at Crossroads Cafe which should be a lot of fun. And then at 6:30 there’s a dinner meetup organized by Niall at a neat place called Taylor’s Automatic Refresher, which is an outdoor beer and burger place at the Ferry Building. (Same place we met last year.) It’s cafeteria style, and we’ll be outside chatting. San Francisco evenings tend to get chilly near the water so bring a jacket.
WordCamp Registration Open
The WordCamp site now has its schedule up and the registration is open. I hope it was worth the wait for you guys. I’m really excited about the conference this year, not only because of the great speakers but as a chance to reflect on everything that’s happened since the last WordCamp.
WordCamp Update
I’ve put a placeholder for the WordCamp 2007 site. The location will be the same as last year, the main change is there may be a nominal registration fee.

SxSW Panel Voting
SxSW has opened up panel voting for 2007, similar to how we did for WordCamp. Have they done this before? I've got one proposed called "Scaling Your Community."
Future Camper
One of my favorite photos from WordCamp. We had a fairly diverse crowd there. (For a SF bay geek conference, at least.) Update: We're going to change Ryan Boren's title to "Head of New Blogger Creation."
WordCamp Wrapup
I'm still recovering from WordCamp in some ways, it was such a rush this week almost seems like a vacation. The best summary of posts regarding the event is on [gonzo]musings, The WordCamp 2006 Overview & Wrapup – from 7875 Miles Away. I'm very happy with how the event went, we had well over 300 brilliant and engaging make it a part of their day. There were a ton of great ideas and participation happening from all corners, especially the interaction during the State of the Word discussion. I also learned a ton and next year we will have a better sign-in process, naptime after BBQ, clearer tracks for devs vs. users, and a bit more lead time. Thank you so much to everyone who came out, it was a really magical day. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the 20 pounds of Memphis Minnie's brisket in my fridge.
