WebProNews Video did an interview with me at the Blogworld Expo.

CNET TV Live
Sorry for the late notice, but I’ll be on CNET TV at 1 PM PST.
WordCamp Videos
Most of the session pages on the 2007 WordCamp site now have videos on them, taken by John Pozadzides.
On Wallstrip!
My conversation with Lindsay Campbell of Wallstrip is now online, including (most of) the end where she cries tears of joy for lolcats. It was a pleasure chatting with the crew there, and I’m curious to see what ventures they attempt now that they have leverage with Wallstrip.
On Cranky Geeks
I was on episode #76 of Cranky Geeks with John Dvorak, Sebastian Rupley, and Om Malik. We talked about Bubble 2.0, unions, iPhones, and vasectomies. This episode was a lot of fun and I suggest checking it out.
Toni on Wallstrip
Toni Schneider of Automattic was interviewed on Wallstrip today. We got to hang out a bit with the Wallstrip team and they’re very sharp, though maybe short on the Wii Tennis. Yesterday they did a musical review of the company behind most states’ Lotto.

Screencast and Videoblogging
The Show in a Box project has made a screencast called How To Install And Setup WordPress. According to Jay Dedman, “Showinabox.tv is our new project to help videobloggers simply download a folder, install, turn on plugins, and choose a theme. All open source. Basically make the “ultimate videoblogging platform using WordPress”. It’ll showcase videos using vPIP, build a visual archive, help with categories, and offer a community funding mechanism.” Cool!
CNET Video Interview
I had the pleasure of chatting with Rafe at CNET the other day, and both parts of the video interview are now online. Part one covers monetization, lolcats, Microsoft, and Twitter; part two talks about version 2.2, stats, Akismet, and Web 2.0.
LAist Interview
One Man Star Wars
Last night I saw the One Man Star Wars Trilogy performed by Charles Ross. The Force is strong with this one. Last night I was there as “press,” but I had independently bought tickets for Thursday night and I’m thinking about going again, it was pretty entertaining. Afterward I was able to interview Charles for a few minutes, and Glenda has uploaded a video of the interview to Youtube. (Warning: Low light.)
WordPress Rap
The fellow who did the WordPress song video has now done a rap song for version 2.1. 🙂
Buzz TV
Technorati Buzz TV yesterday: “Before Jesus was a carpenter he was a… gay escort?” No blog reactions at the time of this post. Has Technorati gone tasteless, or are you going to subscribe to the videocast and use Technorati more now? I’m curious about your thoughts.
Saying No?
Via Boris I came across a post on Susan Mernit’s blog called the No Patrol. It is supposed to be a defense of saying “no” to things in the product development cycle, but as I read each bullet point it struck me as actually a brilliant summary of why big companies often fail to create anything truly interesting, or put another way, why a product like Yahoo Personals is so impersonal. No one would advocate bloat or cruft in software, but sometimes a little silliness, a little frivolity, a little “novelty outweighs the business impact” is what separates a Youtube from a Google Video. Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.
WordPress Song
Devin Reams has done the first WordPress fan song, check out the music video on his site. Too cool for words.

Youtube Coverage
You’re probably reaching Youtube saturation this week, but some of the best coverage I’ve seen of the whole thing has been on the Utube Blog which seems to be picking up every major news story and trimming the fluff, which usually leaves a good sentence or two. I’ve subscribed there and I’m just skipping most blog posts I see about it. 🙂
Microsoft CodeCamp
I’m still in Vienna, but this Saturday morning I’ll be at Silicon Valley CodeCamp speaking on How to say no. My Mom would be so proud. Extra: my keynote from Blogtalk is online at Google video. You may or may not be able to tell, but I was fighting keeping my eyes open (it was 5 AM for me). Next time I speak overseas I’m going to factor in an extra day ahead of time to adjust my sleep fully.
Install WordPress Video
CNET has a video on “Install a WordPress blog”, this came up at WordCamp and I think more of these would be a great idea. Here are some intro videos from EduBlogs.
